Clonliffe AC claim men’s national title in Offaly

The Irish Life Health National League Finals capped a busy weekend of athletics action in Tullamore last Sunday, concluding with Clonliffe Harriers men coming out as overall premier winners.

Several high placings in other events proved vital on a competitive day of action which saw Dundrum South Dublin AC secure second place, led out by Kate Doherty who got DSD up and running with a win in the 100m hurdles in 13.75 before going on to secure maximum points in the 200m in the afternoon.

Clonliffe Harriers are the men’s champions thanks to a dominant display across the course of the day which included a sprint double from Olympian Marcus Lawler who took full points in the men’s 100- and 200-meter races.

Rolus Olusa also doubled up with a winning performance in the Pole Vault and Triple Jump to give the Dublin club a strong footing heading into the afternoon’s action.
