Dublin city centre is set to host an outside sculpture path including 12 life-size jobs from one of Ireland’s top musicians, Patrick O’Reilly.
The route, which has been mounted in 6 areas in the heart of the capital, opened on Culture Evening last Friday and continues until completion of nex week.
Dublin’s Lord Mayor, Alison Gilliland, claimed she believes the public will certainly delight in the art throughout the city centre.
“During lockdown, Dubliners were rejected so many regular experiences that the city has to supply, such as going to art galleries,” she said.
“We are thrilled to work with Patrick O’Reilly as well as Gormleys Art to bring art on to the streets for public enjoyment.
“Patrick is just one of Ireland’s most highly well-known musicians as well as has attained international success with his much-loved Bear sculptures. I have no doubt Dubliners will appreciate this art as they move around our city.”
The path will certainly begin in Gormleys Fine Art, 27 South Frederick Road as well as continue to Merrion Square Park, the Merrion Hotel, St Stephen’s Eco-friendly, Grafton Road and also Capel Street.
