Gardaí remain to appeal for details following the fatal shooting of Michael Tormey in Ballyfermot in the very early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday (Jan 9), and are specifically eager to speak with motorists or cabby that may have loved one dash-cam recordings.
The deceased, a father of 2, had no recognized links to crime/or participation with criminal activities.
Gardaí have not developed a company objective for the shooting, but are examining the possibility that the target was targeted following an event which happened when the late Mr Tormey and also his family members were out socializing.
It is thought person/s contacted us to Mr Tormey’s residence at Thomond Road in Ballyfermot, in the very early hours of Sunday morning, where the sufferer obtained numerous gunshot injuries. He was later on pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Tormey was then taken to the City Morgue, Whitehall where a post-mortem was accomplished by State Pathologist Margot Bolster; participants of the Garda Technical Bureau ended its assessment at the scene of the shooting and accomplished door-to-door queries.
