Kevin’s u12 girls All Ireland Rounders Final

Kevin’s hurling and camogie club’s U-12 girls’ rounders team travelled to Westmeath last weekend to play the club’s first All-Ireland final in 119 years as they went up against Longford’s Clonbroney.

The Dublin girls trailed 27-17 after the fourth inning, needing to score 10 in the last inning to stay alive – and they stepped it up to score 13 runs to take the lead. Chloe Madden starred but the lead wasn’t enough as Clonbroney scored 4 to win 31-30, with Chloe then racing home to play in goal for the U-14 camogie league final against St Pat’s of Palmerstown pulling off a last-minute save as the south inner city girls won by 2-3 to 1-5.
